Black Breastfeeding Week

Every year we celebrate Black Breastfeeding Week by hosting a Sister Circle event where we spend an evening in fellowship with one another, telling our stories, brushing up on our breastfeeding knowledge and discussing ways we can improve our local BFing rates amongst our culture.

World Breastfeeding Week

Since 2019, I've been working and partnering with the Mohawk Valley Breastfeeding Network to plan, coordinate and host our by far most popular event each year, World Breastfeeding Week Celebration @ The Zoo. This event was started my by friend and colleague Ginger Swasey back in 2011 in partnership with our local WIC agency.

SAHM Business Mentorship

SAHMs (stay-at-home-moms) are finding ways to monetize their hobbies and their passions. I have recently undergone taking SAHMs under my wing to help them create businesses or side-hustles out of the things they are good at. I teach them about websites, mentor them with marketing, brand developement and business systems. If you're interested in my mentorship, sign up here, for a free consultation.

Black History Workshop

In 2023 we are hosted a free black history workshop that delve into the colorful history of black reproduction in America. Similiar to our Sister Circle, we discussed sensitive topics that helped the participant understand why we see certain practices in our medical feild as it pertains to BIPOC in their childbearing years. If we don't understand our history we cannot begin to figure out where we're headed in our future. This event was partially sponsored by The Community Foundation and the Mohawk Valley Frontiers.

Susie's Cafe Holiday Giveaway

In 2023 we have the opportunity to give back to our community of moms during the holiday season of giving. We are collaborating with the Mohawk Valley Breastfeeding Network in hopes to increase awareness of their BFing support services and encourage BFing moms to participate in their Breastfeeding social group called Susie's Cafe. We've been chosen among many other local charities to receive toys through our local Stuff The Bus campaign.

If you like what we are doing in our community and would like to support my efforts, feel free to give a small donation at the link below. It's so easy and simple, it's like buying me a cup of coffee!!
